About the event

The GrassRoots Festival and Virginia Key Beach Park Trust presents:
GrassRoots LIVE! A week long Celebration of South Florida’s rich
music and arts traditions.  GrassRoots Live! will include live
performances in clubs and venues in the city of Miami by
GrassRoots and Miami favorites Wednesday thru Saturday February
22-25th, plus Music, Arts, Yoga, Beach Activities, Kids Village,
Food Truck Roundup and more at Historic Virginia Key Beach
Park, February 25-26th.

For the past five years the GrassRoots Festival Organization
has brought the Virginia Key GrassRoots Festival to Historic
Virginia Key Beach Park just outside of Miami, Florida.  This
year we are bringing world music excellence to popular
Miami clubs and venues.  Each night will feature a different
club with a variety of music from Afrobeat to Folk, Colombian
to Haitian.  There will be several musical choices each
evening with low or no cover charges. Each night, GrassRoots
performers will be teamed up with some of the best Miami
live artists for a very unique experience.

Confirmed Venues are Wynwood Yard, Lagniappe House, and North Beach Band Shell.

The Organization I work for has been around for 26 years.  The Finger Lakes GrassRoots festival is one of the oldest Festivals in the country.  We currently produce 6 events per year.

 

GrassRoots Festival of Music and Dance is a
mission-based (501-c3) organization that hosts
four music/dance festivals and two sustainability
fairs a year in three different states across the
east coast. GrassRoots brings communities of
multi-cultured backgrounds together through the
magic of music, art, dance, education, wellness
and sustainability.
   
GrassRoots nurtures local artists and talent while
reaching around the globe to bring world music
and culture to new audiences, creating environ-
ments that inspire creativity and foster
community building.  The impact of GrassRoots
expands far beyond that which occurs during
these four-day festivals.  For over 26 years,
GrassRoots has served to both engage and give
back to the local and regional communities in
which we exist by providing financial and
organizational support to impact positive change.
