God, Are You Listening? The Stage Play.,

About the event

This is a Stage Play about a young man who is dealing with the pressures of life, on top of a big secret he has. He was raised in a God fearing house hold, where his father is the pastor and his mother is the First Lady of their home church. He goes home for the weekend, in hopes to gain the confidence to tell his parents that he’s gay. With his parents having such high roles in ministry, and the church it makes it intimidating and discouraging for him to just come out and tell them. Once he met Cameron, his whole life changed. He never invisioned himself falling in love with a guy, but because he did, he’s willing to accept this journey. Later in the play, Tyler finds out something that will change his life forever. Who will he turn to? His family? His best friend Amber? Or God?

I am 20 years old, and I just want to do something positive not just for myself, but for the community. I know everyone has challenges and battle adversity, but I want to inspire and encourage others through theater. I want to be the one to stand up, and tell someone that it is okay to be different. Being different is normal, and it’s human! I just want to have a legacy that lives on to encourage and inspire forever.

Hello, my name is Alfonso Foster and I am a Stage Play writer here in Saint Louis, Missouri. This will be my very first stage play, and I am so excited. I’m the youngest of 6 and it’s always been my dream and vision to write plays. In my plays, I want to encourage, inspire and touch others. I pray that my plays will change lives.
