Global Scrum Gathering Portland + Beyond,

Portland, Oregon, United States Portland, Oregon, United States

  • About the event

One of the wonderful things about our agile community is that, while we’re all on a journey to transform the world of work, each and every one of us has a unique path and story to tell. Along these paths, we’re all working to answer similar questions and solve similar problems. When you sponsor Global Scrum Gatherings, you’ll be connected to our incredible community
of changemakers who want to make meaningful change in their teams and organizations and who are actively seeking the resources to do so. As a sponsor, you align yourself with a human-centered, better way of working. Find new talent, demo new ideas, and establish your brand at the
    place where changemakers thrive.

In 2023, we want to continue providing the resources and support for our changemakers to continue their agile journeys no matter where they are. Our events connect our community of changemakers with the tools, resources and fellow agilists they need to move forward on their
journey. The close to 1,000 changemakers that will join us either in-person or virtually in Portland will take part in discussions, sessions and more about how we can continue to inspire, equip and connect our community in new and different ways to move us into the future of agile.

    Why should you sponsor?

Our community is made up of highly passionate and growth-minded individuals. They are constantly seeking knowledge and working towards making the world of work more inclusive, productive, and sustainable - both for the employees and the organizations. While scrum and agile initially started in the tech and computer software industries, there are now companies and teams in a wide variety of industries that implement scrum and agile principles. At the Gathering, you’ll see all levels of experience: from people who just took their first course to trainers and coaches who have been a part of the movement since day 1. No matter what their background or how far into their agile journey they are, we call them one thing: Changemakers.

Together, We Are Transforming the World of Work.

At Scrum Alliance, we envision a world where an agile way of working is so universal, it's simply called working. Since 2001, we have supported the agile movement as the only member-driven nonprofit certifying body in the agile space. As a trade association, we were founded and funded by the community for the community, a privilege we take seriously. We continue to nurture the agile movement by providing education, advocacy, research, community and connection. Join us in our mission to advance real-world agility by equipping and inspiring the changemaker in everyone.

    Our Values

    COURAGE

We are willing to say no, to ask for help, and to try things. We question the status quo and challenge with compassion. We are strong enough to adapt to shifting priorities and brave enough to celebrate when things go differently than planned. We speak with candor and clarity because it's kind.

    FOCUS

To meet our goals and delight the community, we finish what we start and take on limited projects. We are fixated on delivering value, not on a to-do list. While our specific plans will evolve, we are relentless about enabling the community to succeed because they are the center of our work.

    OPENNESS

We always have more to learn so we consistently seek new ideas. We are transparent about our individual and collective areas of opportunity, and are willing to seek out feedback from our teammates. We continually demonstrate our work, and know that doing so is a competitive advantage.

    RESPECT

We honor the voices, skills, and contributions of others. We recognize that we are better and stronger because of our diverse backgrounds and experiences. We treat one another as whole, creative, and purposeful beings with positive intent. We add to the ideas of others as we listen, share, and encourage.

    COMMITMENT

We are all in for our teammates, our community, and the change we wish to see in the world. We follow up and follow through, which means we're careful about what we say yes to. We know that it is ok to disagree with one another—but when we do, we discuss it privately; in public, we speak with one voice.
