About the event
Why should you sponsor?
Merlin CarnegieOn behalf of Glasgow University Rugby Sevens Tournament run by Glasgow University Rugby Football Club (GURFC). This year’s annual event will be held on 28th May 2016 at Garscube Sports Complex in Maryhill. The purpose of the event is to help fundraise for the club, which allows us to invest in kit and coaches. We are looking for sponsorship to help with the costs of running the event.
In previous years, the tournament has been relatively successful, but this year, we are looking to expand the event much further. This year it is taking place the weekend after University exams finish, which means we expect a big crowd coming down to celebrate finishing the year. There are already 13 out of 16 teams (as of 04/05/16) confirmed, 800+ likes on Facebook (likely to increase with increased PR as the event draws closer), and we are expecting 400+ people to come to the event. The GURFC has 130 playing members in the club and a big alumni database. We are also a very active club on campus, involved in many areas other than rugby.
If you choose to sponsor us your company and brand will gain a vast exposure through University news, social media, campus posters and flyers, and local news.

This cost is split £600 for our main sponsor Viper nightclub; £300 Logo on sleeve and £400 for logo on the back. All sponsorship packages include social media promotion and local/university news promotion.
