About the event
BOLD events are planning to host a Rio themed Charity Masquerade Ball on the 30th March 2016 for the aim of providing all profit for MacMillan Cancer Support. It'll be a themed night with activities and food, aimed at everyone wanting to attend.
The most likely attendees will be student and members of societies in regards to the several Universities located in and around Edinburgh. This is a group of people like my to attend and through close investigation we know that it is a desired event. An extensive marketing plan has been developed to promote event awareness and ensure ticket sales. The price of the tickets will also be closely monitored to determine the best price in regards to the attendees. It is currently set to be at £15, with the possibility of bying tables.
Fundraising events will be held before the event to raise awareness and money. These will be held in appropriate venues, such as University Student Unions. These events will include social night for Sports and Societies, tournaments and such.
The event itself will be held at the Ghillie Dhu just of Princes Street in central Edinburgh. Food will be provided in the form of a Buffet, chosen as this is the best option considering our planned budget. There will also be activities during the event, such as games, raffles and speakers, all to ensure the guests have a good time. Competitions, photographers and volunteers will also be present at the event to provide memories.
A close budget has been developed and based on tickets sales, catering options, and venue costs, the event is viable but in need of more money and in terms sponsorship.
All sponsorship will be greatly appreciated as we aim for this event to be successful and profitable. All profits will be directly given to the MacMillan Cancer Support, but we also aim to provide an overall memorable evening for the attendees and stakeholders.
In order for the event to be as successful as possible we have professional guidance from Joe Goldblatt, an alumni within the field. We are dedicated group that aim to achieve a high level of awareness, profit and hence support to the charity. In return we will make sure that all stakeholders feel appreciated and supported in any way desired.
