About the event

Dear Prospective Sponsor,

Gateway to Raas and our organization is a socio-cultural student organization in the St. Louis area devoted to promoting the awareness, education and preservation of the South Asian culture by hosting a traditional Indian dance competition in St. Louis. In the month of February of 2018, our organization will be hosting the Gateway to Raas Dance Competition at the Sun Theater, located at 3625 Grandel Square, St. Louis. This will be the rst year that this dance competition is taking place in St. Louis. At this event, we plan to have over 700 individuals attend this event. These individuals are comprised of local students at SLU and Washu, alumni, parents, young professionals and community groups.

Gateway to Raas will consist of 8 competing teams from across the nation as well as exhibition acts performed by local groups in the community, SLU and Washu. Our organization plans on making this dance competition one of the largest and most unique cultural events in St. Louis for this year and for many years to come. These competing teams will bring with them loyal fans and proud parent who will come to watch the show but to also enjoy all the attractions that St. Louis has to offer. With your donation/sponsorship, we would like to further enhance the Gateway to Raas Dance competition atmosphere as well as promote the local businesses that have so graciously donated to our organization and contributed to the success of this event.

Why should you sponsor?

As a sponsor, you will be encouraging youth at the university level to experience culture through the performing arts. This event seeks to accomplish continued awareness of the South Asian culture and uni cation of our entire, global community. Along with this, you will have the opportunity to advertise your business or organization to the St. Louis community.

Aman Thakkar

My name is Aman Thakkar, I am going to be a Sophmore at Saint Louis University. I currently studying finance. I have held internships at Stadia Ventures, and State Farm. As well I have job shadowed at Edward Jones.
