About the event

Hosted during the world renowned SXSW festival in Austin, the FundingPost Venture Dinner @ SXSW draws a global audience of venture capital, angel investor, seed capital, and high growth oriented entrepreneurs.

The event format begins with open networking, followed by a panel discussion covering hot industry topics, an audience Q&A, and subsequently a short pitch competition. After the pitch competition there will be a networking reception with complimentary food and drinks.

FundingPost Texas is managed by Napoleon T. Butic, CEO of Trout Business Capital. 

Trout Business Capital is led by Napoleon T. Butic, a 16 year financial services industry veteran with a national network of financing relationships built over the course of his career. 

He spent over a decade in New York City working in the hedge fund industry for Guggenheim Partners subsidiary Channel Capital Group, before returning to his hometown of Houston, Texas. 

Mr. Butic is a strong believer in developing word of mouth networks and long term business relationships. He holds leadership positions in multiple civic organizations and trade groups focused on small businesses.  He is a graduate of the McCombs School of Business, University of Texas at Austin, Class of 2000, with a BBA in finance.
