About the event
Junior Doctor's Association, Gauhati Medical College & Hospital, shortly JDA-GMCH is the body representing all the junior doctor's, i.e. the post graduate trainees, junior residents and the preregistered clinical assistants (PRCA/Internees) of this prestigious institute. Since its inception in 1973, JDA-GMCH has tried to address the needs of these doctors and as a whole the association has been working relentlessly for the betterment of the patient care. Apart from the academic activities and issues concerning the clinicians, JDA-GMCH is committed to bring out the best from the youths of entire northeast in the cultural and literary field and to sustain the sense of unity, social harmony and brotherhood amongst the youths.
We are very happy to inform you that we are planning to host our annual inter college fest, “Frisson”: The JDA Night on 19/11/2016, to be organised by Junior Doctor’s Association, GMCH. Carrying the legacy of its previous inter college fests, Frisson will be a mix of cultural extravaganza, "JDA dinner" and most importantly a multi-speciality “health mela”. We will also organise some health camps in different "old age homes" in Guwahati.
This time special emphasis will be on:
1. Dr. S. N. Sharma memorial intercollege quiz
2. Intercollege cricket tournament
3. A grand JDA dinner ( an effort to have the whole GMCH family together through a meal)
4. Health camps in old age homes.5. Guest Artist.

This is an annual program organised by one of the most respected organisation of Assam, India for te last 42years. A huge crowd gathers here (more than 4000 people join each time) due to its reputation. A sponsor will get very high publicity within very short time though this event.
