About the event

This year we’re hosting the FART 2020 Joy of Cycling Challenge! Support local cycling and the Joy of Cycling by registering, riding, logging your miles, and winning! Every 10 miles ridden earns participants 1 raffle ticket. Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 male and female overall distances, overall elevation, longest recorded ride, and best event photo. You have the whole month of August to ride. Competition and raffle winners will be announced on Sept 5. Registered rides will receive their event SWAG (via mail or local pick up) no later than Sept 15.

Why should you sponsor?

The Lander Cycling Club (LCC) is a community-based group that promotes all types of bicycling in Lander and surrounding areas.  The LCC encourages the benefits of cycling while promoting the development and improvement of on and off-road biking.  The LCC is also heavily involved in providing bike safety in our community.  Currently, the LCC is working towards building new and improving multi-use trails, adding more bike racks in town, promoting bike friendly routes through downtown, and obtaining long term assets that benefit the Lander Cycling Community.

The LCC believes it is important to build strong relationships with local businesses for the benefit of our members, events, and our sponsors. The LCC is asking for additional funding through sponsorships with the hope of continuing our annual Fremont Area Road Tour in a new virtual format for 2020, with proceeds benefitting local cycling initiatives in our community.

This year we’re taking the Fremont Area Road Tour online, by providing a month-long virtual event that has the potential to involve more people than ever before! With so many people turning to biking right now as an escape from the stresses of COVID-19, it’s more important now than ever to support local cycling clubs!

My name is Gwen Robson. I live in Lander, Wy and am an avid biker, climber, and cross-country skier. This is my third year being involved in the Fremont Area Road Tour. I'm very excited about our new virtual format this year, and think we have an opportunity to make this event bigger than ever before!
