About the event

Having been producing Freestyle/Performance videos weekly for over a year. The show features both established and upcoming music artists from Jamaica. The artists in each session perform for Approximately 15minutes mainly to Dancehall and Reggae instrumentals. These sessions are held in a well known state of the art studio in front of two videographers along with a live DJ and sound engineer. They are then edited and posted onto the Reggae Selecta UK YouTube channel which is watched weekly by a large audience globally. Clips and photos are also posted and shared over various other social channels by all involved.

Reggae Selecta UK History

The show began with Antony Elkington of Reggae Selecta UK seeking to help young talented artists in Jamaica by giving them an opportunity to demonstrate their talent while there were little or no stage shows being allowed. Teaming up with Ramone Gordon of Ace Media Entertainment who was at the time working with music artists to create music videos and take professional photo shoots.

With the first few shows more of trial it began to grow rapidly and gained plenty of interested from music lovers around the globe and young artists eager for an opportunity to take part. Some artist featured have since become some of the most successful artists in the industry.

The show has so far had over 100 artists perform across the 48 Videos posted to date which are continuously recorded and uploaded every week amounting to:

Total of 463,572 views on YouTube alone

34,727 watch time hours
