About the event
Fortress of Nightmares is an annual Halloween fundraiser to benefit The Fort Adams Trust, a 501c3 nonprofit organization. The funds raised go towards maintaining and restoring Historic Fort Adams in Newport, RI. Each year, more than 5,000 visitors attend the event spread over 6 nights in October. Our visitors come from all over the Unites States to take part in this Halloween Event.
The event features 3 attractions:
Tunnels of Terror - an interactive maze built inside the fort's land defense tunnels beneath Fort Adams.
Zombie Laser Tag - housed inside the fort's actual rifle range, zombie laser tag is an interactive game of hide and seek! Find and eradicate as many zombies as you can before they find you.
Fortress Ghost Hunts - teams will enter our most haunted areas and explore their way around, on their own, using specialized equipment to seek out the paranormal.
