About the event

This organisation was formed to inform women of all ages that empowerment comes from within. That once an individual decides that they are going to preserver, to succeed and to survive, nobody but that individual can say it otherwise. While women may be marginalised and oppressed over the world, For Us creates a safe haven for all women to feel powerful. It was created out of the struggle that many women experience, especially in environments where there is a lack of active womanist movements or schemes. An awakening needs to be initiated amongst women that, empowerment, strength and respect is not given, it is taken. And that for this to happen knowledge, advice and encouragement need to flowing. There needs to be a modern and open approach to discussing female issues and priorities. One that is contemporary and consistent with the ever-changing trends and attitudes of society. And this is what For Us aim to provide, as it fundamentally believes that open discourse that tackles concerns for females, overflows in benefits. Which will ultimately produce a mighty sisterhood that will result in the much needed change in the political, social and economic stance of women. As For Us is not involved with telling women what they should be, but rather what they could be.
