About the event
Our event is an offer of financial and technical assistance
for an orphanage in Uganda, Africa.
Our intent is to help a team of great people, currently volunteering at the orphanage, to build an infrastructure of sustainable food growth, water purification, surplus food trade and apprenticeships in the same.
Currently numbering 457 children, who range in age from 12 months to 15 years old, our task is not impossible. This is an obtainable goal, for a team which pools its resources, and invests in a new generation of science, technology, engineering and mathematics prepared children.
Helping this orphanage become self sustaining will allow the local volunteers to focus on the health and education of the children there, and provide for the continued operation of the orphanage.
Once a child is of age to leave the orphanage, we intend that they have the required skills to offer the same technical abilities to their chosen communities.
We also intend to help as they become young adults, to grow their own businesses, should they wish our continued guidance and support.

Why should you sponsor?
Due to local, armed conflict, and the resulting instability of the last three decades, children across Africa have been left without families, homes or food.
The children number in the thousands, and live in orphanages across the country.
Sustainable food growth, clean water, hygiene and a renewable trade-skill of their choosing, should be opportunities we create for as many as we can.
Sponsorship is available, encouraged, and greatly appreciated. Most items should be able to be acquired locally, in Uganda, to support the local economy.
We will send what resources are needed, either from neighboring countries, such as our developing partnership with a farmer in Kenya, who is excited by the prospect of vertical aeroponics in his own business.
We intend to build a renewable network of solar, aeroponic farms, and water distillation.

The technologies we intend to implement are:
Active and passive solar, steam distillation of polluted water, vertical aeroponic, hydroponic, and aquaponic foods will be grown within a greenhouse environment. Earthbag, rammed earth, and passive solar style living areas will be integrated into a new live and sustain infrastructure, as material becomes available.
