About the event

The Florida Northwest AIM Department would like to offer you the chance to be a part of a great experience. The AIM Convention is our annual summer convention geared towards spiritual enrichment, education, training and fellowship. Our goal is effectiveness in ministry and each summer we have the opportunity to work with a large number of youth. This convention gives our youth an opportunity to have a summer vacation while learning. Most of the youth in this targeted group will not have the opportunity to have any other type of summer vacation as most families are from a low or middle class income category.  In 2015 we had 175 youth and 325 total attendees at the convention. We have youth and adults from several cities within Florida and Alabama. They get a chance to meet new people and start long term friendships. The youth compete in a brain bowl and basketball tournament during the convention. They also attend several workshops designed to help them in different areas of their lives. The convention will be held in Panama City, Florida on June 15-18, 2016. Our goal for 2016 is to increase the number of youth than attend the convention and afford them the a once in a lifetime opportunity for some learning and fun activities. Along with any convention comes expenses and the department is trying to offset some of our expenses so that we can continue to have a great convention, and at the same time offer the youth serval outings along with meals during the convention.
