About the event

Music is my passion. I truly feel it is my calling in life. I have been playing clarinet since 5th grade and absolutely love it. I am proud to be 14 and a freshman in high school after I skipped 3rd grade. When I go to college, I want to major in music and hopefully play in their band, but playing in a college band takes a lot of experience and hard work. This summer, from July 12-18, Flathead Lake is having a band camp. It costs $445 with private lessons for an extra $20. I'm not asking for much, and I don't expect for the whole camp to be paid for by others. I come from Livingston, MT. It's a very small town with very little to offer its students especially those in the band. Any extra money will be donated to my high school band. We are in need of new instruments, equipment, and marching band uniforms. It will be my way of giving back to the community. Flathead Lake is an excellent learning experience. They teach you many skills in order for you to become a professional musician in the future. Also, they can give you scholarships for college. This is the experience I have been looking for, and its my dream. I love music. Thank you for taking the time to read this. Thank you for considering me.
