The 106th Anniversary of The Fisherman’s Feast of Boston, Boston’s oldest longest running continuous Italian festival, as well as one of Boston’s most beloved and well publicized events, will be celebrated in August 2015. Approximately 35,000-50,000 people are expected to attend this year’s feast in the North End, the most historic neighborhood in Boston Massachusetts. As in past years, The Fisherman’s Feast will attract large crowds from the greater metropolitan area, as well as tourists from all over the United States.
This widely recognized community festival, has been the recipient of numerous awards and honors. In 1988 The Smithsonian Institute of Washington D.C selected the Fisherman’s Feast to represent Massachusetts at the annual Folk life Festival held on the National Mall in our nation’s capitol. The Feast as been shown on the Food network’s “Emeril Live” and PBS’s “Cooking with Todd English” as well as two award winning documentaries shown nationally on PBS. The feast has appeared in national periodicals such as Yankee, Primo Magazine and Italian Food and Wine magazines as well as being featured three times in National Geographic Magazine.
The feast receives wide media coverage in all local print, radio with Greater Media Broadcasting radio our exclusive radio station, and television newscasts such as Chronicle, The Phantom Gourmet, The Fox Morning Show and T.V Diner. The Feast has also received national coverage on NBC’s the Today Show and Good Morning America on ABC. Plans include special appearances by well-known celebrities, two major parades and processions, over eighty food and beverage vendors, private lots within our feast that can be housed as beer or wine gardens, outdoor bar area, or outdoor patio and tasting area, offering unique opportunities for sponsorship, as well as four free nights of entertainment with our headlined act performing on Saturday night.
