What is FIRExTalk?
The FIRExTalk Program is designed to help fire service communities, organizations and individuals spark conversation and connection through a local TED-like experience.

About FIRE.talk partnerships
FIRExTalk is a fire service community event that inspires innovation, leadership, and passionate insights. Each FIRExTalk event is independently organized by an extraordinary individual. These individuals are not hosting a FIRExTalk event for political reasons, monetary reward or personal gain. Rather, they are doing this because they truly believe in the power of ideas to change the fire service world.
The FIRExTalk PDX event is seeking the support of local companies who can offer ways to enhance the experience for our attendees — most often, through in-kind goods and services.
If you own or represent a company that wants to explore opportunities for partnering with the FIRExTalk PDX event, read on!
Why become a FIRExTalk partner?
As a FIRExTalk PDX partner, you will have the opportunity to engage in an authentic dialogue with an elusive, yet valuable audience: passionate, firefighters in the local community. You'll have an opportunity to test your ideas for the future, and you'll be challenged to positively impact the community in new ways.
Becoming a FIRExTalk PDX partner means you share in our vision of spreading ideas that are intended to change the fire service community for the better. It means you’ll be joining our team of thought leaders while benefiting from an individually-tailored partnership.
The vision of FIRExTalk
FIRExTalk began as a humble experiment. Our hope is the program will be embraced, with passion and dedication, by hundreds — if not thousands — of fire service communities across the planet. Think of FirexTalk as an incubator for ideas. Partners should come to FIRE.talk events not only to present ideas, but as learners — to learn from the fire service community. Create an opportunity for this community of thinkers, doers, and leaders to engage in a subject that is meaningful to you.
From a company's perspective, the FIRExTalk program may seem quite experimental — and, as such, a great opportunity for the partner to experiment. We look forward to hearing from you directly regarding any ideas you might have.

Our Objective The objective of the Firefighter Cancer Support Network (FCSN) is to provide timely assistance to all fire service members and their families in the event of cancer diagnosis. We maintain and continuously update a roster of mentors who have personal experience with many types of cancers who will personally guide you through the process of dealing with your specific illness. In addition to our mentor program, we are always in need of volunteers to assist us by helping to support our various committees, specialized task programs, member support activities and specialized events we are asked to attend. The FCSN also provides awareness to fire service members and their families about the importance of cancer prevention and screening by coordinating educational opportunities with various health programs. We do not provide legal or medical advice but can provide assistance and guidance for other support options such as behavioral health services, fire service organizations,
