About the event
DYMEJAYS.COM was created to fill a void found in the entertainment industry, the lack of support for female djs, producers, mc’s & promoters. Our goal is to provide a platform for female djs, producers, mc’s, promoters and more to socialize, promote, and learn from each other. Our main focus is promoting and supporting female djs & producers with real skills. Our site is open to all, beginning or established djs and producers. DYMEJAYS is more than a crew it's a movement!
“The Female Dj Olympics” is an all female DJ competition with two separate categories turntable and controllers. This event is designed to showcase female djs in a field that is still dominated by male djs! The first two elimination rounds will be done online via popular vote and judges decisions. Eight djs will advance to the finals (4 turntable and 4 controllers). The finals will have three rounds. Each round will have a different challenge with Olympic style judging. Gold, silver and bronze medals will be awarded for each round. The dj with the highest medal points count from each categories will battle head to head to be crowned “The Champion”. Our goal is to showcase well rounded and versatile djs. We are embarking on the task of making this an annual event here in the city of Baltimore and eventually growing into a national event!
