About the event
Our aim is to group all the children of the locality after school and during the school holidays.
In 2013, we have organised extra- curricular activities such as creative arts (paintings,statue makings) ,yoga sessions , medical check-ups ,introduction to drama, for children living in the locality. A prize giving ceremony to children who have excelled in their school exams.
In 2014, the number of children joining the group has increased. We have also noticed that the children's academic performance has greatly improved.
In 2015, due shortage of fund and need for renovating our old building, has contributed to a downfall in the number of children attending the activities.By the end of 2015, we have noticed an increased in some social problems in the locality. We concluded that the holding of such activities can solve some social problems.
This year , we have decided to ask for sponsorship for any organistion to help us so as to help others for the betterment of the society.
We have planned to
(1) set up a library with new books, computers, internet so that the children could meet after school hours to make research works, helping their friends in their studies and to have more good social inter-action among themselves. Thus, children will not fall into preys of drugs, alcoholism, ....
(2) renovate the old building so as to make it more appealing to hold talks and debates about different social issues and parental education. This will be beneficial to both the children and their parents.
(3) set a musical class with all the facilities such as musical instruments and a sound system.It is said that music is the best therapy. Therefore this will enable children to have access to music since most of them don't have the opportunity to learn music at school.
(4) have local and international exchange programs where holistic development of a child is very important.
