Explorer Belt Hungary 2016,

About the event

The Explorer Belt expedition is the opportunity of a lifetime for young scouting members aged 16-25 from across the UK. The volunteer-led expedition to Hungary will take 21 participants on a ten day adventure which will bring them a true understanding of the country, its culture and way of life. As ambassadors of UK Scouting the participants will build international friendships and memories to last a lifetime. The group will be divided into small teams, who will travel independently through Hungary, working together to complete a series of projects and most importantly immersing themselves in local life and activities within the community. The teams will plan their own route, travelling across the country to complete one main project (on a topic of their choosing) and several smaller challenges (chosen by the leader team). Groups will set off from Budapest and will be supported by a mobile leader team whilst they are on the expedition. At the end of the expedition the teams will reunite in Budapest, where there will be several surprises planned to celebrate their completion of the Explorer Belt expedition!
 

Why should you sponsor?

Should you be interested in offering us sponsorship, this could take a number of forms depending on the level of involvement you would like:
 

• General sponsorship of the expedition (amount at your discretion).
• Sponsor a daily challenge for £50 – you can decide on a challenge for the teams to complete, e.g. try to appear on local TV/radio, learn to cook a traditional dish, learn a Hungarian game and teach a British one in return (you can be as creative as you like!).
• Sponsorship of the group polo shirts for £200 – your company’s logo will be displayed on the sleeve.
• Sponsoring one of the four participant teams for £100 – you will be mentioned at the start of their report back presentation and at appropriate intervals along their journey.
• Sponsoring the participants’ end of expedition reward and/or meal for £100
• Sponsoring the ‘report-back’ presentation evening for £150 – the event is likely to be attended by roughly 100+ friends and family members who will hear all about what the teams got up to on their expedition.
• Donate prizes for raffle
   

All sponsors would be detailed in our expedition programme, be promoted at suitable points during the expedition, be featured on our website, Facebook and Twitter pages, on posters we put up to advertise the expedition, and mentioned in all correspondence with participants.

 
We would be very happy to include any promotional materials (leaflets, pens etc.) you wish to send us in our participant packs.

In addition to (or instead of) a monetary donation, items for inclusion in a fundraising raffle would be much appreciated.
