EWB MUN,

About the event

Become inspired to change the world! So, We Engineers without Borders NCU Gurugram, a group of students is planning to conduct “EWB MUN” that will provide with an opportunity to step into the shoes of a leader and ignite the change-maker in students. It will have International and National participation, and we will mainly focus on the topics around Sustainable development. The event will be conducted from 24th March 2021-27th March 2021 through online platform.

Committees to be simulated:

1. United Nations general Assembly(UNGA):
2. The United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC)
3. The All-India Political Parties Meet (AIPPM)
4. International Health Organisation (IHO)
5. United Nations Security Council (UNSC)
6. Indo Pak Meet

All the delegates will submit the position paper which may include past actions and developments in their countries about the same, and the overall general policy of their country towards the agenda. Within that there will be different problem statements for each committee and for the management purposes we will have International Press Delegates and IP heads Delegates within committee.

Apart from these agendas we are planning to have small activities:

1. Creative Talks: This event will be a motivational speech from some renowned speakers so that the students and professionals can get inspired by their journey.
2. Cultural Event: This will be an interactive activity by EWB Cultural group.
3. Chairpersons Meet: All the chairperson or executive board will have discussion amongst themselves with respect to the common topic.
4. Training session for the delegates who are doing their debut MUN will be scheduled before 24th March 2021.

Benefits:

Students develop confidence and leadership skills through experience. Model UN conferences are opportunities to practice research, public speaking, teamwork, negotiation, and writing skills in a safe and structured environment.
