About the event
As Luxembourg Resuscitation Council ( LRC ) a.s.b.l. ,a federated european association with 16 professional and medical associations from Luxembourg we want to save lives by implementing our project REAGIS ( training lay people to do the right thoracic compressions in case of cardiac arrest and get in time an AED.
On the example of 6 surrounding countries, the workshop on the 18.10.2014 underlines the possibilities of registrating all cardiac arrests in order to develop the right strategy and the necessary ary changement of behaviour of lay people to save lives.
Our results of saving lives in Luxembourg are very bad, turn at about 2 - 4 % survival. Scandinavian countries achieve 56 %, Holland over 30 %, an Tessin ( Ticino ) over 50 % of survival. Seattle in the USA over 60 %.
We must be aware of changing our actual panels of help. We are all too slow, we avhieve perhaps resuscitating heart, but as we are too slow, our brain is dead.
We can do it better if we achieve in our society in Luxembourg a changement of our behaviour.
We must train together an use possibilities to sensibilize people on the cardiac sudden death which can hurt as or our family or friends at any moment of our life.
