    Introduction 

    Certainly we all passed some time with some kind of gaming console or computer game like, PacMan, Tetris or even Super Mario among hundreds of others. Today the time spent with this type of occupation has grown even more increasing slightly with the younger groups. How much will it grow? We do not know for sure but certainly a lot. As an example today almost 460,000 games per hour are played in the biggest soccer simulator, FIFA 16! 

    All this is supported as in any other type of sport, with a massive crowd of followers. Who haven’t lost 5 minutes of their time to see a friend playing on a console or even in the arcades? Currently there are about 134 millions of fans who watch daily for a solid 40 minutes their favourite players / video games on the internet! 

    Competitiveness is also involved with the videogames growth. There are online competitions where we can play against everyone and be the best among our friends, players in our country or even the world! The awards for these events are prize money and they are getting bigger from year to year. 

    These online video games competitions are called eSports.


    Who we are 

    NPCL, is a company that creates and promotes events, tournaments and online competitions. We are based in Lisbon and we have a registered capital of 36,000 euros. Our focus is gaming and online entertainment, aiming to build a competitive community of online gaming with Portuguese language. Through this community, we want to create a spirit of mutual aid that allows the development of this sector and its users in all aspects. With this in our minds, we created a multigaming league to improve eSports competition in our country, more organized and above all restore the image that our society has about gamers and the influence that videogames passes to our younger generation. 

    This project was born from the passion for video games and all the activities that goes with it. The market in Portugal is late, lying at a crucial stage and in the right moment for supporting the professionalization of gamers and the development of a whole range of opportunities, allowing its exploration and forwarding it for a similar position where we can see from the rest of Europe, Asia and the Americas. 

      João "MightyHype" Semedo, was the founder of this idea, and later recruited David "Benas" Figueiredo, Guilherme "Guilhas" Miranda and Tiago "TD" Dias. With the team assembled the time came to build the project and do the necessary research to be able to expose and give it credibility, features developed in 2012. Finally in May 2015, we established the company to which we are 100% dedicated. 

      

    What we do and what it is for? 

    We created the ESPL, Electronic Sports Portugal League, an online platform where there will be various leagues of various video games and where anyone can participate. 

    This league will have full support from our 4 major national multigaming associations, which are already in the eSports market for more than 10 years and will support this project which will bring a new competitive edge to Portugal, helping the growth of this industry on national soil and thus preventing our teams to search competitive challenges abroad.


    Value of the Videogame market 

    In 2014, an online game had is final at the Olympic Stadium in Sangam South Korea, it was attended by 66 million viewers! Seeing this influx we have achieved the realization that the video games can reach. 

    An online game that in 2012 had a final prize of 1.6 million dollars, and in a span of two years this same prize growth to 10.9 million dollars. 

    Currently we have several brands associated with eSports, proving not only the seriousness of the market as well as the exponential that it is getting. Communications and technology companies have been investing in this market since the beginning, while companies from other sectors began to do it gradually. Red Bull has sponsored several tournaments and professional players directly, offering the same treatment as any other athlete would have in a conventional sports. The current market for video games is valued at 140 billion dollars, and this opportunity should not be ignored.   

     

    What is in for you? 

    It is in this context that the NPCL mark their presence, creating the ESPL, eSport Portugal League. The ESPL exists with the purposes of creating a competitive national league for video games. 

    The sponsor of your brand to ESPL, will be viewed by fans aged 14 to 35 years, aiming to your target consumers. 

    Along with some of the best known national names in this branch we also have the 4 largest national associations of multigaming to participate, bringing more curious and enthusiastic fans, thereby giving more visibility to your brand.
