Empowerment Youth Day,

Victoria, British Columbia, Canada Victoria, British Columbia, Canada

  • About the event

To celebrate youth making a change and to motivate you to start or keep making a change locally and globally, Spectrum Community School is asking local business/performers for donations in order for us to pull off this amazing, fun community event that would motivate students constantly trying to make a positive change in the community. We believe that we enhance the quality of life in the community making it a better, more sustainable place to live.

Built in 1974, Spectrum Community School has become a cultural and positive leader in the local community. Our stability results from the loyal dedication and hard work of many motivated and dedicated Spectrum students and the businesses and foundations who help support what we do year after year.

We are writing to ask you to support us in putting on an event at Spectrum Community School to help educate, engage and empower youth and their families/communities to come together and become active local and global citizens.

In celebration of what we have accomplished as a school and a community since 1974 we ask if you will support us with a donation of any range you feel comfortable giving. Remember that your gift is tax-deductible. In exchange, Spectrum is willing to set up publicity of your company throughout the theater during the event where over 700 students will be attending.

Your help will empower youth to make change in their local or global communities. We already have twelve speakers including Carol Todd (Amanda Todd's mom), Residential school survivor, Mike Sheenan (country singer), an Transgender LGBTQ speaker, Syrian Refugees, an recovering drug addict, environmentalist and many others!
Your contribution will make a lasting impact to student who will feel motivated to take action against issues, from bullying and homelessness to poverty and the environment.
