Edward Lewis's Contemporary Ballet is a compelling story about a family dealing with sexual abuse, substance abuse, and the cycles of dysfunction that bind them.  As the first of its kind, it features an entirely African-American cast.  It shines the light on issues often overlooked, giving a voice to the voiceless.

Your sponsorship of this event would allow us to introduce the cultural fine arts to urban youth and the urban music scene in Raleigh North Carolina. Most importantly, we are giving you the opportunity to be a part of history.  There has never been a ballet with an entirely African-American cast.  Please help to make the dream of a young talented man come true. 

Antiniqua Bell

Edward Lewis is the artist, recording artist, song writer, and visionary behind the Edward Lewis's Contemporary Ballet.  He has been performing as a rap artist for 7 years throughout the east coast. A lover of music and the arts, he has now decided to put together a production that would combine classic ballet with modern dance and hip hop music.  This is his first production in what he hopes will be many more to come.
