About the event
Elevate Basketball Circuit (EBC) is created to be a collection of high ranking boys’ and girls’ basketball programs from grades 6th through 11th to play in a system ranking circuit leading to a divisional and national championship, awarding the best teams with bragging rights, championship rings and the Elevate Cup Trophy. The league consist of 1440 teams, covering 16 states.
EBC teams will be broken up in five different regions for area dominance leading to the top two teams in each division to play in the EBC Nationals for total supremacy. Each division will have 20 season games over 5 weekend tournaments, and finished with the top 8 teams in each grade level playing an elimination bracket style playoffs, with the championship round playing the best of five.
Teams will be ranked by their season record with #1 playing #8, #2 playing #7 and so on. Season games will be played between March 20, 2015 and July 3, 2015, with the EBC Nationals running July 9-13, 2015 in a currently undisclosed host city. All eight teams that make the division playoffs will play in the EBC Nationals, with the winner and runner up in each grade level playing in the EBC Nationals for free; Division champions in each grade level will receive free transportation for the team and up to three coaches. The other six teams in each grade level will play in EBC Nationals at a fee of $500 per team. The EBC Nationals will be played in a bracket style format for the 32 teams in each grade level, leading to the Elite Eight. Teams making it to the Elite Eight will play in a five game format for basketball supremacy. All teams will play a minimum of four games.
The EBC will be composed of four divisions in its inaugural season:
Texas/Oklahoma – Longhorn Division*
Michigan/Kentucky/Ohio/Indiana/West Virginia – Bluegrass Division
Illinois/Missouri/Iowa/Kansas – Prairie Division
North Carolina/South Carolina/Georgia/Virginia/Tennessee – Atlantic Division
*Longhorn Division is broken into two separate division, Longhorn North and Longhorn South
The top eight (8) teams in each grade level will move on to the division championships to play a series playoff schedule. The winning team in each division is awarded a division championship ring for players and coaches, free entrance and transportation to the EBC Nationals. Runner up teams will receive the EBC Silver Cup and free entrance to the EBC Nationals. Other awards will be recognized for season play during division championships, such as Player of the Year, Sportsman of the Year, Coach of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year.
The EBC will supply quality facilities, state sanctioned officials and tournament staff for a high quality tournament atmosphere each league and championship tournament weekends. The EBC will create a website that will keep up to date information on players and teams as well as keeping social media operational for maximum team and player exposure. Each weekend will have beat writers, photographers and recruitment services that will also be given permission to promote and interview organizations, teams, players and coaches.Why should you sponsor?
