About the event
Earth Innovations is a science fair open to all K-12 schools and youth organizations. This program is one of many that seeks to bring a strong educational component to the Earth Day event. In addition, it extends to focus of Earth Day beyond the single day event, and inspires young minds to begin thinking about human impacts on the environment at an early age when they are still developing their habits and outlook on the environment. Individual schools organize their own smaller science fairs, and from these about 30-40 Earth-friendly projects are selected to exhibit and demonstrate at the Earth day event to the public crowds of 20,000. In addition, individuals and teams may submit a project directly to Earth Innovations. Upon approval of the project registration, all of these projects are invited to exhibit, demonstrate and compete for prizes at the Earth Day event.

Reno EarthDayMercury Momentum is a Reno, Nevada based 501(c)3 non-profit with a mission to enhance community involvement, education and support for organizations, causes and messages that promote positive change, social and cultural awareness and community spirit through providing forums, community events and other opportunities to bring people and the messages together.
