The Perl and Raku Conference is an annual event where programmers, developers, and enthusiasts of the Perl and Raku programming languages gather to share their knowledge, experiences, and ideas.
Perl and Raku are two related programming languages with a shared history and philosophy. Perl was created by Larry Wall in 1987 as a scripting language for Unix systems, and has since evolved into a powerful, flexible language used for a wide range of applications. Raku, formerly known as Perl 6, is a modern, expressive language designed to address some of the shortcomings of Perl 5, while retaining its strengths.
The Perl and Raku Conference features a variety of talks, workshops, and presentations on topics related to Perl and Raku, including language features, libraries, tools, frameworks, best practices, and case studies. It also provides opportunities for networking, collaboration, and community-building among Perl and Raku users and developers.
Meet your fellow Perl and Raku programmers. We expect nearly 150 Perlers to attend from around North America and the world! This is a great opportunity to connect with the community. Make sure to check out our conference wiki to see what sort of social events and BOFs are being planned!
