Driven Desires Car, Truck & Bike Show for MDA,

About the event

Hello, my name is Amy Owens. I am the volunteer Public Relations Manager and Assistant Event Coordinator for the Driven Desires Car, Truck and Bike Show to benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association. My daughter Megan Owens created this spectacular event eight years ago. In creating Driven Desires, she incorporated her love for cars and her love for charity. Once again, we will be holding this event at the Monroe Civic Center arena for the eighth year, on September 9, 2017. This event has become one of the biggest shows in our area and surrounding areas. People travel from out of state to attend this event each year. Our event is “family friendly” and we always have activities for the children as well with local businesses donating generously for the kids. We also allow other charities to set up booths free of charge in order to better reach the public and help them out. We have approximately 18 different classes with 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in each and 9 large specialty trophies we give away at our event each year. I truly believe this charity event has become such a success because of our generous sponsors, volunteers and participants who care about raising money for MDA. All money raised from Driven Desires, will benefit patients with Muscular Dystrophy in our area.

Why should you sponsor?

As with any charity event, we like to try and keep our costs down as much as possible and obtain sponsors to help divert costs each year. We are always blessed with people willing to help especially with our charity being local. Some of our great sponsors each year include The City of Monroe, Lagniappe Broadcasting, Reflections, Parker Auto Body, Mad Tunes and so many great places who donate to our cause. We at Driven Desires would like to invite your group/company to be one of our great sponsors for our charity event this year.  A plus to your sponsorship of any amount would be that your donation is tax deductible. I will simply supply you with a receipt for your tax purposes. Bonuses with sponsorships also include advertising on flyers, t-shirts, radio stations, social media advertising and recognition the day of the event. You will also be able to display banners at the event as well if you have those available. More details about our sponsorship packages are listed below. But most of all you will have the satisfaction of knowing that you are helping patients in our area who suffer with Muscular Dystrophy.

Hello, my name is Amy Owens. I am the volunteer Public Relations Manager and Assistant Event Coordinator for the Driven Desires Car, Truck and Bike Show to benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association. I have been helping organize this charity event with my daughter Megan Owens for the past eight years. Together with family and friends who tirelessly volunteer their time, and all the amazing people who participate in the show, we all help make this event such a great success each year in order to raise as much money as we can for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. I am also an elementary teacher and enjoy donating my extra time to this charity organization.
