  • About the event

    Greetings from DotSlash, SVNIT

This mail is written on behalf of the organizing committee of the  DotSlash Hackathon event. We, the students of  SVNIT with support from Research Park, SVNIT is organizing a national level hackathon named, ‘ DotSlash: Root to ideas’ in SVNIT campus, Surat, on 18th and 19th January 2020. This hackathon will be a 30-hour long event, where we plan to accommodate approximately 110 to 130 students from across the country and give them a platform to innovate.
    Our website: https://hackdotslash.co.in/

A hackathon is a place where students from different computing backgrounds can come together, collaborate and pioneer. DotSlash plans to do just that and more. DotSlash aspires to bridge the gap between research and development i.e. exploring more research frontiers so that working on them bolsters development and also exposes participants to new grounds that help the community.

The key aspect of innovation and development are support and motivation. We plan to provide the participants with an encouraging and well-catered environment, i.e. food, accommodation, internet access, hardware, productive ambiance, etcetera.

We are looking for sponsorship for our hackathon and we request you to support us in whichever way possible. It would always be a two - way win. Here are some of the points in which you can benefit:

    1. Publicity for your company through various mode

    2. A chance to advertise your products in front of a motley community and encourage them to use it first-hand

    3. Witness fresh ideas burgeoning and indirectly give the association a competitive advantage.

    4.  Increase your Network.

    5.  Hire directly from the best of developers.

As a sponsor, there can be various methods through which you can support us, whether it be through:

    1. Financial aid

    2. Promotional merchandise

    3. Your products

    4. Mentors for the event, etc.
