Lifeline Macarthur

Lifeline Macarthur is member of the national Lifeline network. We work towards Lifeline'svision of an Australia free of suicide and strive to create an inclusive community wherein people are able to give and receive competent care anywhere, anytime.


What We do: 

Lifeline Macarthur delivers a range of free crisis support services to the people of South West Sydney, Macarthur and Southern Highlands, including:

13 11 14 Telephone Crisis Support Line 
Our 13 11 14 Crisis Support Line is available to all Australians 24/7. If you need someone to talk to, please call and connect with someone who cares. We’re here to help.

Suicide Awareness & Prevention Support 
We are dedicated to reducing suicide rates in the community that we serve and have a range of suicide awareness and prevention resources available to individuals, businesses and other organisations. 

Training 
We hold courses throughout the year to train volunteer Telephone Crisis Supporters (TCS).

Suicide Bereavement Support 
Our Suicide Bereavement Support Group runs on the fourth Wednesday of each month for those left behind. Many people have found comfort through this group.

Financial Counselling 
Our accredited financial counsellors are available Monday to Friday to anyone requiring help with budgets, income planning, managing expenses, financial advocacy and general advice.

UWS Psychology Clinic 
We have partnered with the University of Western Sydney to provide a general psychology clinic specialising in mood disorders, stress-related conditions and anxiety disorders. The clinic operates Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. All ages are welcome.

Toolkits & Resources 
We provide a range of toolkits to the public on such topics as suicide risk and prevention, suicide bereavement, domestic violence, panic attacks, coping with grief, and managing stress. These are available free in hardcopy, via email or on this website under ‘What We Do’.

Our Retail Shops 
Lifeline Macarthur operates seven retail stores which sell new and pre-loved items, such as clothes, books, household appliances, collectables, toys, reconditioned white goods. Four stores now feature fabulous retro and vintage treasures. Our stores help us raise money to provide our free services to the community.
