The mission of Design + is to display and interpret objects that document contemporary and historic innovation in art & design, while providing aspiring artists and designers with a platform that advances the understanding and appreciation of the synergy between art & design as the convergence of creativity and functionality.
Design + presents contemporary art for the engaged buyer in the welcoming and dynamic setting of a historic location at the landmark Hyatt Regency Miami. Located in the heart of Downtown Miami where the Miami River bisects Brickell Avenue, the hotel’s attachment to the Miami Convention Center and Metromover offers a unique, attractive destination.
Contemporary art, Innovative design, Style and Trends will be buzzwords for this particular fair.
Design + is dedicated to creating an experience that will stimulate all the senses for our visitors to maximize the design and art acquisition process.
Design + will dedicate the majority of its content to feature our exhibitors, their programs and artists, while actively curating their works to align with our visitors’ desires (from mediums to concepts and price points).
Our communications strategy takes a holistic approach that applies data analysis to our marketing channels in order for proper assessment and continual adjustments. This allows us to reach optimal targeting. While we advertise in the top art and news outlets in the world (like Art Forum), advertising in the local community is also integral to the success of our fair.
Traditional advertising will be balanced by digital and social campaigns in order to connect with the visitors that are most captivated by your artists and exhibition program.

I am a Canadian born Interior Designer, graduated from the University of Manitoba in the early 1980's. I moved to New York where I landed my first job as a junior designer at Patino/Wolf Associates.
Ten years later I moved to Miami and in 2002 I founded R Design Studio Inc which specializes in high-end residential projects along with condo lobby and public space renovations, model aprtments and executive offices.
