  • About the event

    Greetings from AMEN LLP. You may be aware of our project “Let’s Change” that has been inspiring millions for cleanliness in India (Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan). This year we are coming up with an activity to inspire true “Deshbhakti”; by uniting people with the thought of patriotism being over and above any religion or caste with a video challenge.

     

    Every Indian is a proud Indian, till divided & exploited based on religion and caste. This obviously hampers the development and has led Indians to getting pitted against each other; and not for a healthy competition. Many are thinking unity as based on religion, caste, language etc, and not as a Nation. Opportunists easily raise sentiments and we have arrived at a situation where public representatives get elected based on castes; not on credentials. It is time to remind people that ‘Deshbhakti’ is much more important than ‘Dharmbhakti’; and this is the motto of our campaign. Our plan is to:

    1. Have Indians make and share videos pledging ‘Deshbhakti’ over ‘Dharmbhakti’.
    2. Challenge friends and relatives to do similar videos.
    3. Make people think and realize India is and should be a Nation where people of all religions and castes are equals.        
    4. Signal ‘opportunists’ that Indians will no longer succumb to divisive strategies.
    5. Reach out to policy makers to abandon columns of religion and caste from all type of forms including census. We feel these are the source of information to ‘opportunists’ in deciding which castes / communities they can target to manipulate.

    Why should you sponsor?

    The Idea

    1. Make and share simple videos that will have common people declaring the message.
    2. Campaign representatives & volunteers shall visit various crowded locations like markets, colleges, coaching classes, places of employments etc with official permissions in July.
    3. Every location will have a portable shade and backdrop to which people get attracted, especially on sunny / rainy days.
    4. People will be shown sample videos and challenged to make their videos and send to our generic numbers and their friend list on social media with #DeshbhaktiChallenge
    5. Every person making his video shall further challenge his friends to do the same.

     

    The Effect

    1. Friends of thousands of people making the videos shall get the message and be inspired to make similar videos, that will bang the idea of “Deshbhakti” being of more importance than “Dharambhakti / Jaatibhakti”
    2. This challenge is bound to reach to the right people it should reach, and in the way that has proven to be effective for some action.
