About the event

Derby Christmas Ice Rink is now a well established event in Derby, in its 5th year of operation by Showplace Events. The Rink and premium infrastructure is located in the heart of the city centre within the market place.

Last year's event  saw a record number of skaters on the rink which opens for just over 6 weeks either side of Christmas. Along with the other Christmas festivities the market place is estimated to have had over 100,000 visitors last year.   

The Ice Rink and IP is privately owned by Showplace Events whist being strongly supported by the local council and various organisations. The local council also ticket the event via their own theatres box office located in the same area.

In previous years, media sponsorship has taken place through Gem106 radio station whilst a variety of local and national companies sponsoring ringside branding and other aspects of the event.

This year Showplace is looking for a Title Sponsor for the event as well as secondary sponsors. Specific packages can be tailored to the sponsors requirements depending on the value they wish to seek . With advertising starting from £500 and associate sponsorship packages from £1000 we are keen to discuss the opportunity with interested parties.
