About the event
In the summer of 2016 the Houston Marriott Westchase will be hosting Delta-H Con 9, the City of Houston's anime and gaming convention. From August 19th to August 21st, Delta-H Con will be bringing the citizens of Greater Houston, Texas a quality and memorable experience in this unique and quickly growing hobby.
Visitors and guests will be presented with a 24 hour programming schedule featuring a plethora of activities relating to anime, manga, cartoons, and games. Numerous panels where attendees can learn more about this unique hobby and participate in various activities with panelists will be held in several panel rooms. Rooms will be set aside for the viewing of various animated television series, original video animations, and films will be accessible all day for fans. In addition several celebrities and voice actors will be special guests of Delta-H Con and are eager to speak to and interact with their fans.
Anime and manga, the terms for cartoons and comics from Japan, is a highly popular hobby and interest for many Americans of all ages. Much like American cartoons and television shows, Anime features many genres including romantic comedy, slice-of-life, fantasy, horror, action-adventure, and science fiction. Famous series' include Dragon Ball Z and Mobile Suit Gundam and films such as Spirited Away. In addition Japan features a large number of electronic gaming companies such as Namco-Bandai, Sony, Square-Enix, Nintendo, and numerous others. The Con scene also attracts a large number of fans of non-Japanese series' like Adventure Time, My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, and the MS Paint webcomic Homestuck.
Like many other hobbies, this has inevitably led to conventions such as ours being established across the country to give fans a place to meet, exchange ideas and opinions, and discuss their favorite shows and games. Houston in particular presents a large opportunity for the anime and gaming scene due its size, being the fourth largest city in the United States, and with great diversity.
By becoming a sponsor of Delta-H Con, you will be able to make yourself visible to convention guests, attendees, and visitors from all walks of life. This provides an opportunity to gain new customers and build with them positive and profitable relationships. We hand out thousands of flyers each year and hang hundreds of posters in shops all around the city. We also distribute thousands of program guides to our attendees during the show.
