Deliverance is a DIY event organised by a group of music listeners in Trivandrum. 
The prime idea behind it is, to set up a platform for music enthusiasts and artists to come together and celebrate their unified spirit for music.

The first edition of the event happened on the 24th of June 2018, with the cooperative involvement of musicians and music lovers.
Fortune Hotel The South Park, which is a very renowned hotel around, collaborated with us by providing space for the event. 

The line-up was adorned with the best artists that the local scene has produced, such as  :- 

High Octane, a rock/metal outfit featuring heavy names from the local scene, 
Eettillam, a folk rock band based out of Trivandrum, stalwart thrash metal outfit Amorphia from Alappuzha 
and Collective Conscious, a progressive metal band consisting of high spirited young men from Trivandrum. 


Our Story :-

There is an ocean of untapped potential in the independent music scene across the country that is waiting to be heard and supported. 
Deliverance aims to bring those unheard voices to the front to you, the audience. 

The seed was sown when two friends (Jerish Alan and Rahul Raj) sharing a mutual interest for music, realised the imminent need to make a gig happen 
for the survival and thriving of the local independent music scene. The motive behind it being, to strictly pursue passion. 

The event specifically focuses on bringing rock/metal and progressive/alternative music to people in the capital city. 

Word was put out and people sharing common interest joined in to support our vision. 
Organisation and planning was done over a period of 2 months and was executed to the best of our capabilities. 

The event was held on the 24th of  June 2018, at Fortune Hotel The South Park, Trivandrum, Kerala.

We were expecting a crowd of not more than 100 or 150 people as we had not put out any paid advertisements.
Marketing was done mostly on social media, through personal accounts and also through word of mouth. To our surprise, we sold over 280 tickets on the day of the event. 
Venue was packed with a highly energetic crowd. People had arrived all the way from neighbouring districts like Kollam and Ernakulam. 
Naturally, we were very overwhelmed by this response from the community. This also made us realise that people are still very much hungry for a live-music experience. 

 It is the success of that event that put the people behind it to think hard for a second edition. 

Hence, the decision to make the experience happen all over again, which is Deliverance 2019.
