About the event

What is Mini Maker Faire?

It is an extension of globally popular Maker Faire festival which has been a popular platform for showcasing inventiveness, creativity & celebrate maker movement. Maker Faire has filled the gap for DIYers, innovators, educators, hackers, and inventors – these curious folks, who for years have been relegated to their garages, basements, or kitchen tables, now have an amazing venue to share their knowledge and innovations with like-minded people and with the world.

Like all Mini Maker Faires, DMMF invites innovative creators from all diverse fields like science, technology, Mechatronics, arts, cooking, music, painting, sculpturing and more alike to showcase their innovations to entire world.

What the organization gains from sponsorship?

• The event will witness more than fifty makers  from different backgrounds including technology, science, design showcasing their projects .
• The event will see visitors from multinationals, colleges, school, hackerspaces & other independent organizations.
• There will be participation from hardware/IOT startups demonstrating their innovations.
• An opportunity to organize workshop to promote technology platforms, find potential interns/employees etc.
• We have different Tiers of sponsorships with several additional perks associated with it. (details in the attachment)
• The DMMF has reached out to more than 300 universities/school with several of them having provided confirmation for organizing student trips to the event. We have been generating momentum on social media with people from even Kathmandu confirming their presence. The expected footfall is 2000 with majority of them from student background.
• Talent pool - DMMF is for young innovators and will witness participation from universities across the Delhi/NCR region such as IIT Delhi, Delhi University, DTU, NSIT, IIIT Delhi, IP university to name a few. Since, the event spans across several domains, the students/hackers will be from different fields such as hardware/software/design. 
•  Exposure - Coverage by various online & offline media outlets (reference :- last year’s Bangalore mini maker faire – details mentioned in subsequent point)
• The Delhi Mini Maker Faire will be an annual event and similar Mini Maker Faire are in pipeline for later this year in the Mumbai, Bengaluru & Coimbatore. This can be a beginning of a long term partnership as well.

How will the money will invested?

The makers are provided stall free of charge to encourage them in showcasing their innovations & the visitors are charged a nominal entry fee.

The money from the sponsorship will be used for setting up the event infrastructure, installations , promotional materials & maker stalls.

Bangalore Mini Maker Faire

Last year Bangalore hosted India’s first Mini Maker faire which saw participation from several early stage startups and project showcasing from young innovators. The event was  supported & sponsored by NASSCOM, AUTODESK, IBM, Maxus Metalworks, Sapient Nitro and several others. It was covered through several media channels such as yourstory,Inc42, Livemint and others. The event marked a major milestone in promoting maker movement in India.
