About the event
Creating for Change is a week-long event and creative space for the Brisbane community to explore the role of art and creative communication tools to create a better world. The event will feature an interactive design exhibit, with activities that help participants understand our 5 key creative methodologies for creating change; storytelling, storymaking, systems-thinking, design-thinking, and theory of change. Some of these free activities include ‘Postcards for Peace,’ sustainable future building using LEGO Serious Play, storytelling workshops, and Art for Change. There will also be a program of paid workshops for those who are passionate about addressing a local or global challenge and want to learn the 5 creative communication methods to find creative solutions (we have already begun selling tickets for to the workshops at an early-bird rate to members of our network).

Tiyana JovanovicCreating for Change is organised by the Humanitarian Changemakers Network, a Brisbane-based social enterprise that equips and empowers young people to take action to change the world. We have run workshops for schools such as Brisbane State High School and Brisbane Boys College, and partnered with local and global organisations like the QLD Red Cross, Reach Across Brisbane, and Thought for Food.
