About the event
Couture x Coiffures is a fashion, music, and hair exposition; inspired by Rihanna's Savage x Fenty Fashion Show, which airs on Prime Video.
The coordinator and creative director, Chiara Brown-Sinclair, took over as the main organizer from her father, author Anthony Tony' Brown, and says that she was awed by the fact that the Savage x Fenty Show featured a collaboration of musical entertainment with runway modeling and dance. Her goal was to offer performers, models, dancers and artists the opportunity to showcase their craft on a large scale, which doesn't happen often in Hampton Roads. She also wanted to give her audience an unforgettable experience through entertainment and decorative art. As a result, the Couture x Coiffures Show broke the internet, with recap videos going viral for up to two months after the event ended.
The show included a modeling competition, a kids showcase, and a fusion of Black History Month and Valentine's Day with its BLACK LOVE celebration segment. The show featured a contemporary pole dancer, a cellist, over 40 Models, 16 Musical Artists, 16 Designers, and a hand-painted mural by artist Danielle Brown.
Why should you sponsor?
Because of the lingering buzz that resulted from the previous Couture x Coiffures Show with no financial backing, the opportunity for premium, quality material is inevitable with the help of a sponsor. Although the event was successful from a bird's eye view, it was a struggle to keep the show afloat. We ran into hurdles that were related to finances, including retaining our talent and covering the cost of the venue. We were only able to pay talent based on a percentage of ticket sales, and as a result, some have backed out, and some decided not to show up on the day of the event if another more lucrative opportunity presented itself to them. We also had to operate on the mercy of the venue to scale down our event from using the full venue to only half of it, which resulted in a limit to our potential profits based on a limit to seating capacity. With the appropriate financial sponsors, we will be able to secure the full venue, pay our talent, and provide a more quality event for guests, which will allow more eyes on our sponsors' brands and logos.
Chiara SinclairChiara is a passionate model, dancer and social media microinfluencer who shares content on Instagram, YouTube and TikTok. She has been dancing since age 4 and modeling since young adulthood.
She loves to create fashion, beauty and lifestyle content, and uses a creative twist for her audience to enjoy.
Chiara lives in the beautiful Hampton Roads area of Virginia and travels often, creating additional content in unique locations. She has modeled for NYFW, LAFW, Va Swimweek, Macy's, Walmart, Modelo USA alongside UFC Champion Justin Gaethje, and many brands and shows throughout Hampton Roads.
