COTTON ON MCR: ART EXHIBITION,

About the event

We are extremely excited to be hosting our first, stand-alone art exhibition! This exhibition will feature a great mix of Manchester based artists, showcasing local talent from students, hobbyists and established artists alike. With a mix of 2D and 3D work, there will be something for everyone in this exhibition.

All artists chosen submitted work via an open call, with the only criteria being that they are living and/or working in Greater Manchester. So there really is an eclectic mix of art work on show.

Held at the amazing Saul Hay Gallery in Castlefield, collaboratively we want to show that galleries are open to all. We understand that some galleries and exhibitions can come across as elitist - we want to show that this isn't the case, and by displaying work of local and mixed media artists, we know that this exhibition will be a huge success.

Here at Cotton On MCR our mission is to provide Manchester with a huge variety of new, engaging and exciting art events. We are bringing you a great mix of exhibitions, art fairs, art workshops, talks and more. We aim to show that art can be for everyone, and made by anyone!

Cotton On MCR launched in 2017 and started off as a blog, things grew from there. We realised that although Manchester does have a thriving art scene, there isn't a base that shows that off. So we created Cotton On MCR, not only to promote the amazing work and events of local artists, but to create amazing events to contribute to the art world too!

We are passionate about art and Manchester and want you to get involved and get passionate too!
