About the event

Community Giants Awards is to recognise and celebrate individuals, organizations and communities who have gone the extra mile to help those around them, who inspire us and make a positive impact on our daily lives and to our communities. We want to shine the spotlight on those who deserve to be honored. Ordinary people who have done extraordinary things and deserve recognition. People who may not be celebrities but are stars and giants in several communities. The community giants awards, celebrates the usually uncelebrated, we created this Award to reward those who may not ordinarily be noticed by the mainstream who may not be rewarded for all their works and contributions in making our communities better every day in many different ways

Nkechi First

Nkechi First has developed so many community projects and events that bring people in the community together and strengthen relationships. She heads the affairs of three charities even though she is a single mum. She runs free workshops on self confidence for women all around Glasgow. She is the convener of The Women Conference, an event developed for women empowerment and networking in Glasgow. Bringing women from all walks of life together. Nkechi is the founder of Community Giants Awards an annual Glasgow awards ceremony that celebrates the unsung Giants within the community. She is the founder of Power2Her, an organisation that supports women towards economic empowerment. Nkechi is a multi talented woman, who has various capabilities which she put in good use towards running the various community groups and charities she's involved with. Nkechi has inspired many women to be more aware of their health and fitness through her organisation, Fat Burn Divas.
Nkechi runs a health and fitness women group where women encourage one another to live healthy and stay fit. It is called Fat Burn Divas. It is a supportive, educational and fun environment for women.

Nkechi has has been nominate and also won various awards.
