Why should you sponsor?
This event is centered around local unity, activation, and involvement, as well as an effort to launch into a new phase for Joplin citizens and businesses. We’ve seen what we can accomplish when Joplin works together, and we want to employ that kind of unified energy toward making our city even greater.
In brief, this is going to be a nine hour event in Landreth Park, Sunday, August 20th, free to the public, featuring a variety of local/regional bands, food trucks, games, contests, and opportunities for businesses to reach out to new clientele, as well as inform the community of any new developments or goals. We have already begun securing the entertainment and food trucks, and are in process of taking reservations for booths for businesses, non-profits, and other community organizations.
We are approaching you in the hope of securing your support for this event. As you may imagine, putting on an event of this magnitude takes a great deal of work, and your support will help make this event an even-better effort toward reaching our goals of community involvement, as well as aiding our future endeavors to continue developing a unified Joplin.
James RigdonI have a history of organizing events across the nation, mostly through a political organizing career of over twelve years. I came back home to southwest Missouri in no small part because my home area felt like it needed help growing together. Our strengths in working together after the Joplin tornado proved to me that we are stronger together than apart, and I want to use that energy to help our city and area to grow.
