  • About the event

The Communication Graduates Charity Ball is a first time event run by two graduating Charles Sturt University students as part of their final major works where they are required to run a campaign/event for an organisation.

They have partnered with the Cancer Council NSW to raise funds and awareness for their charity whilst celebrating the graduating communication students of 2017.

The evening will be host two a formal sit down dinner, reputable CSU Alumni guest speakers, live entertainment and fundraising activities throughout the evening.

Guests will include student and staff of the CSU School of Communicaiton, including advertising, public relations, commercial radio, media practice and theatre media disciplines. As well as our MC and two guest speakers for the evening; Floyd Cush - PRIME7 news reporter, Preya McMahon, founder of PR agencies Zing and ZVR, and Lindsay Rogers, founder of advertising agency Chello.

    Why should you sponsor?

We are seeking sponsorship for this event to be able to make tickets an affordable price for students whilst being able to pay for the event venue, catering, props for fundraising activites, interior designs and entertainment for the evening.

We feel the Cancer Council NSW is a worthy cause and need this sponsorship in order to raise as much money we can whilst making a very successful event for our guests, that will hopefully leave behind a legacy for an annual occasion.

    Emma Webber

    Hi there,

My name is Emma Webber. I am a final year communication (public relations) student at Charles Sturt University. I am organising the first ever Communication Graduates Charity Ball as part of my final major project where I am required to run a PR campaign/event for a client or organisation.

I have been working extremely hard to put together this event for my cohort and of course for the Cancer Council. It is something I feel very pationately about and hope to raise as much money as we can for this amazing and worthy cause.

I also hope to leave behind a legacy and start a tradition within the School of Communication at CSU. As a graduates ball is something that has never been done before here, I beleive it is important for the students and of course teachers should be congratulated on their acheivements and celebrate the friendships they have made during their time at CSU.
