About the event

Greater Action Art Gallery aims to raise funds as well as showcase the skills of talented young artists of the Afghan and Rohingya refugee communities in Kuala Lumpur.

All exhibitions curated by Greater Action Art Gallery will promote art amongst young refugees ranging from ages 13 to 20 years, as these talented refugees use their artistic skills as a mode of self expression through each of their pieces.

This exhibition will be Greater Action Art Gallery's first ever curated exhibition with over 70 original art pieces by talented young refugee artists in Kuala Lumpur. This exhibition aims to motivate these young artists, by giving them a new platform to showcase their hard work and allowing them to freely express their emotions through their art pieces.

We aim for the world to become more aware of their talents and skills, and hopefully support them in any way possible for the betterment of their livelihoods.

Why should you sponsor?

Greater Action is non profit organization and is entirely run by volunteers. We work with the refugee communities in and around Kuala Lumpur to find day-to-day solutions for their many problems. 

Sustainable livelihood is a very important part of our mission. By sponsoring this event you will making a big difference in the lives of these young refugee artists.

The RSVP list is majority composed of Expats from USA, Australia and some European countries along with the locals and media. The exposure your organization will get is definitely a step above what you would get via normal channels or newspaper and other media.

Shraddha Pandya

A very important question. I am Shraddha. I am a volunteer at Greater Action. Professionally I am a Branding and Marketing Consultant. About Greater Action:
Greater Action is a non-profit social organisation operating in Malaysia. We are 100% volunteer based so we have no overheads. All that we manage to get via donations or purchases is directly given to the refugees. We are just acting as a medium for their pleas and work to reach the outer world.

We are focused on improving lives and finding day-to-day solutions in education, livelihood, and healthcare for all vulnerable communities, especially refugees and asylum seekers who come from different parts of the world.

Currently, we are looking after 250 such families and helping them via our different welfare programs.

We are also dedicated to supporting the B40 Malaysian group, orphanages and foster homes with donation of materials and food provisions.
