About the event
It is with the utmost enthusiasm that we are seeking your participation in Georgia Cares’ second annual Color Me Free 5K Run. This event, rain or shine, will be held at Due West United Methodist Church in Marietta, Georgia on July 30, 2016. Our goal is to raise money for victim services and raise awareness of Domestic Minor Sex Trafficking, happening right here in our Georgia communities.
Please join us by giving to the race in whatever way you can- whether you choose to give financially as a sponsor, or donate items such as waters and food for the race- any way that you give will help us free Georgia children from the abuse and horror of sex trafficking. Attached are different levels of participation.
We hope to see you at the race to celebrate our everyday freedoms, and the emancipation of those enslaved across our state!
Why should you sponsor?
Georgia Cares is the single, statewide coordinating agency for services and treatments for child victims of sex trafficking. Our goal for this race is to raise money for victim services and raise awareness of Domestic Minor Sex Trafficking, happening right here in our Georgia communities. Sara RiesingGeorgia Cares was created as an initiative of the Governor’s Office for Children and Families in 2009. Georgia Cares is now an independent, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization working to serve child sex trafficking victims in Georgia. Georgia Cares is the single, statewide coordinating agency to connect services and treatment care for all child sex trafficking victims. Our mission is to ensure that child sex trafficking victims receive quality care and services in the state of Georgia. It is our vision that child sex trafficking will one day be eradicated in Georgia, and we will see survivors restored and thriving.
