What was your favorite book to read as a child? Can you imagine not having that story in your life? By the age of 3, children born in low income families hear 30 million fewer total words than their affluent peers. Compounding the problem, many of these families have no age-appropriate books in their home. Too many Bay Area children are already at a huge disadvantage before they reach kindergarten – they deserve better.

For 2016 only: All sponsorships of $5,000 and above include membership into our Founder’s Circle, where supporters will be celebrated on our Founder’s Circle webpage as a testament for years to come that when children and families in the Bay Area needed you most, you responded. Individuals can name their gift for themselves or in honor of a beloved friend, while companies can embed a link to their website.

Join Tandem, Partners in Early Learning at a summertime kick-off party to raise funds and awareness for our work supporting over 15,000 children and families in the Bay Area. Tickets will include food, drinks, and prizes, and they go on sale May 16th.
