About the event

Coastal Comic Con (www.coastalcomiccon.com) is a family-oriented, comminity pop culture event being held in Bournemouth on the 28th of September  2019.

Coastal Comic Con was created to give a welcoming and family-friendly convention experience to people across the whole the whole spectrum of geekdom.

Coastal Comic Con is aiming to be an event that is all about community – whether it is the community of family, the local area or people coming together through their mutual appreciation for traditionally ‘geeky’ activities, such as gaming or cosplay. We believe all that the event should be a space where people can connect with others who share their passions, their hobbies, and their views on the world without fear of judgement.

Why should you sponsor?

Coastal Comic Con was born from the community social enterprise called ‘MakeGeek’, which has been backed by the Prince’s Trust, to support and encourage creativity within the local area and beyond.  We have been running successfully for a number of years attending many events, and hosting popular creative workshops across Dorset and the South West.

We have a venue booked (the prestigious Royal Bath Hotel on the seafront) and have already contracted and secured several guests from Game of Thrones, Dr Who, Marvel movies, etc, as well as comic artists, writers, and other highly regarded craftspeople in their fields.  Tickets are selling very well (ahead of projections) and we have had many traders already book their spaces at the event.

The sponsorship benefits we are offering to our partners would include (dependent on tier):

• Exposure to our 1000+ attendees through:

  • The event day programme

  • Announcements over the PA

  • Presence on attendees wristbands

• Exposure to our 1000+ attendees and brand awareness of up to an estimated 30,000 local residents through:

  • Promotional events leading up to the convention date in Poole and Bournemouth

  • Poster placement and leaflet drops over the Summer

  • Logo, bio and prominent placement on the convention website

  • Designated space in the convention programme

• Potential trade/promotional space availability and complimentary tickets for the day and/or evening after-party.

• Other considerations and promotional opportunities by arrangement

We are offering Gold, Silver and Bronze tier packages for sponsorship of the convention day, and Mithril, Kryptonite and Adamantium tier packages for sponsorship of the exclusive evening after-party (for up to 400 further attendees).  Pricing is available on application.

In addition, we are looking to form reciprocal deals with businesses, with sponsorship in the form of goods or services (printing, clothing etc).

Above all, our aim is to support and encourage businesses, local community and produce a fun, inviting and welcoming event for all to enjoy.
