About the event
We are co-producing a new theatrical clubbing experience – Club Mex – at the Hope Mill Theatre, in Manchester, in January/February.
The new musical is set in a holiday resort in Cancún, Mexico, and follows a British 19 year old’s hen do – think a female version of “The Inbetweeners” and that gives a rough idea of the comedy that the show comes with. It’s a hilarious feel-good show, with a strong message of the joys of friendship and a remarkably catchy 90s/00s original soundtrack.Why should you sponsor?
This is the initial development production of this exciting new musical; a show that is clearly targeting a young 18-30s audience base, and has a total audience capacity of nearly 5,000 over this 4 week run. After this production, there is excellent scope for a longer London run next year, and we are keen that any partnerships formed at such an early stage in the production’s life are carried forward to benefit any partners joining us at this stage. There is excellent scope for major brand exposure, for no cash buy in.
Henry HarrodGlobal Musicals is a brand new theatre company established in 2017 by producers Andy and Wendy Barnes. The company aims to focus on innovative new musical theatre, to discover and produce exciting musicals that will appeal to a younger generation of theatre goers.
Andy and Wendy are also the producers of non-profit theatre company Perfect Pitch, a company founded in 2006 and dedicated to developing new British musicals by emerging writers through workshops, readings and showcases. Having worked exclusively with new British musicals over the last 11 years, Andy and Wendy hope their new company will be able to provide the much needed funds to take young shows to that next step, from development to full commercial production and longer term life.
Founded by Henry Harrod in 2017, Aitch Productions sets out to push the boundaries of live theatre and events with unusual, off-the-wall productions. Henry is proudly supported by the Stage One New Producers Bursary scheme. Specialising in the development of new musical theatre, Aitch Productions has a range of site-speci c shows in various stages of development, as well as plans for a new London-based portable venue and collaborative working space.
