  • About the event

Satyam, UNCC’s South Asian organization, proudly presents CLT Pulse 2019! The competition will be taking place in the beautiful “Queen City” of Charlotte, North Carolina. Our organization is comprised of a diverse background of community leaders, passionate dancers, and culturally aware individuals who strive to spread South Asian culture in the Charlotte area and throughout the Southeast.

Eight of the nation’s premiere Bollywood-Fusion dance teams will take the stage on March 16th, 2019 to display their unique styles and love of dance to an amazing Charlotte audience!

    Why should you sponsor?

❖ The Bollywood fusion circuit is one of the most popular collegiate dance circuits in the country.

❖ There are dozens of collegiate Bollywood Fusion teams that compete year-round across the country.

❖ UNC Charlotte has its own competitive Bollywood Fusion Dance team known as Queen City Ishaare.

❖ Regional and larger corporations are starting to take notice of the Bollywood Fusion circuit’s growing popularity. Organizations such as Chase, Verizon Wireless, and Custom Ink have been past and current supporters for individual dance teams and competitions.

❖ Many former members and alumni in the circuit continue to pursue successful careers in the Bollywood Dance scene.

❖ The competition will be taking place only miles away from UNC-Charlotte.

❖ Competition will be seen by 600-700 audience members as well as an official livestream for online viewership.

    Tyriq Fitts

I am a UNC-Charlotte Alum and former member of its own Bollywood Fusion Dance Team known as Queen City Ishaare. Being involved in the dance circuit has provided many opportunities to meet many people from various backgrounds. Hosting a dance competition will help bring a sense of community to the University area as well as allow people from different places to experience Charlotte in a different way.
