Class of 1979 40th Reunion,

DoubleTree By Hilton Bloomfield Hills Detroit, Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, United States DoubleTree By Hilton Bloomfield Hills Detroit, Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, United States

  • About the event

The Seaholm High School class of 1979 is one of the most connected classes ever to attend our high school. We continue to engage on social media and in person even after 40 years!

Our class of 645 gets over 250 classmates at our reunions. We are business people, entrepreneurs, parents, and lifelong friends. This is our 40th reunion and have the opportunity to have one of our classmates play at the reunion. He has a great 6 piece band - 2x1. We also have a classmate who has a band in Nashville - Diamond Rio, as well as another classmate Liz Larin who performs throughout the United States.

Our goal is to have 2x1 plus Jimmy and Liz perform at our reunion.

You would think with a class as big as ours we'd be pretty disperate. The truth is we have always been a community. After 40 years we still connect and engage with each other. There's a trust we have with each other that just can't be beat.

Our 40th reunion is happening at a time when we are sandwiched between the transition of our children to adulthood and dealing with aging, ailing parents. This is the time of our lives when we are somewhat settled.

One of the special things about our class is the talented people who have continued to pursue their gifts. Jay Jolley, Jimmy Olander, and Liz Laren are following their passions in the music industry.

We think it would make our reunion extra special if we could have one or all of them perform at the reunion. And that takes money - they are professional performers. We already established our price point with our classmates for attending the event, understanding many will be attending from out of town and will have to pay for travel and hotels. We'd really like to give them this as a surprise.

As we continue to get older, this may be the last reunion the majority of classmates can attend. Wouldn't it be awesome to help us provide a most memorable event?

    Why should you sponsor?

Our class  is over 600 strong. That doesn't even include our significant others. We are in our late 50s, are entrepreneurs, professionals, parents, teachers,  executives, and more.

Any sponsor will be gaining great exposure to over 300 people who have buying power and for most, significant discretionary income. Our high school is in one of the most affluent cities in the US. Many people still live there, and the vast majority of the class is very successful.
